bulC norT - 26th August 2011

A different night I suppose... not quite what I expected (except the turnout), very small amount of people out though that was due to infest being on at the same time and thus.... myself and Doka Chapman ended up DJing a replacement night for the knowned cyber/ebm night that occurs at Eddies on the last saturday of the month. It was an okay night. Oddly Doka asked me to play Tradgoth/Batcave/Deathrock as opposed to the nights usual ebm/electro and industrial. A bit odd but I got more people on the dancefloor than his ebm set did so I'm not complaining. I really want to thank everyone who came out and danced, it really made it a good night.

My playlist for that night was (more mainstream due to the crowd) as always * for requests;

Sisters of Mercy - Floorshow
Paralysed Age - Nocturne
Clan of Xymox - Liberty
Rosetta Stone - Ruination
Alien sex fiend - Now I'm Feeling Zombified
Nosferatu - Keepers Call
Bauhaus - She's in Parties
Suspiria - Allegedly Dancefloor Tragedy
Sixousie and the Banshees - peek-a-boo
The Mission UK - Deliverance

****************************
Part 2
Wolfsheim - Once in a lifetime *
The Fear Cult - Safety Dance
Type O Negative - She Burned Me Down
B-52's - Rock Lobster
Abney Park - Airship Pirates
Sopor Aeternus - Leeches & Deception
Killing Joke - Love Like blood
The Cure - Lovecats
Sister's of Mercy - Dominion(Mother Russia)
Angels and Agony - Forward

Club Tron will resume as usual next month (september) with guest DJ Geoff Lee (Modulate).. enjoy

Club Nort

Due to infest clashing over the same weekend as what is normally club Tron, and the DJ/ promoter is actually at infest Doka and myself are running a replacement night as DJ's. I am not sure how it is going to pan out as Doka has ideas as to what he wants to do with the night... I think that it was supposed to be an ebm night but then again I am not sure once again how Doka will take it. I will be playing electro, trance and ebm anyway. The Night to my knowledge will be called club Nort and will be ran on the 26th August. Should be fun anyway.. taking place at Eddies rock club in Birmingham

Dystopia - August 12th 2011

Hello again guys, I have been asked to once again DJ for Dystopia goth night at Eddies in Birmingham and of course I accepted. I think this set is required to be traditional goth and batcave/darkwave which is always fun. Hopefully there will be a nice group on the dancefloor again.

If you have not been there yet then deffinately come along and check it out, a nice blend of industrial, trad goth, batcave, deathrock, ebm, synthpop, noise, electro, darkwave and 80's... something to suit all you dark types in a nice and comfortable, accepting atmosphere. Here is the link to the FB page of course. It runs every second Friday of the month

Return to old haunts

I have been out in more local areas recently, though up till this year I was reknowned for travelling silly miles for gigs and nights out, from Coventry to yorkshire in some cases, London others.

For the case of this blog I am very happy to announce that I shall be persistantly returning to all my old haunts and continuing to do so again, tooo many friends that I miss :(

So First off Is The Wendy house, how I love and miss that place so much.. I think I have more friends from Manchester and Leeds than I do anywhere else and it will be great to see you all again <3 so you had better be at the next one, if not I will catch you at all of the ones following :) if not then at Revolution?

Club Antichrist, I haven't been here for a while now, sadly it has clashed with exams and work, other DJing etc but as I am moving to London it will be great to go there again and put on my bridle and tail.. oh yes did I mention I'm a ponygirl. Also I have a lot of Burlesque performances in London that could lead to me working at AC with any luck... I really hope so, I missed D and Missy's (the lovely people who run AC) Birthday and feel bad for that :( sorry guys, see you at the next AC if not before.

Rubberlove - as with AC, miss you all :( I have some new latex-y goodness in the form of outfits I have made especially to see you all again ;) love you my sexy friends!

Flock! and Black sheep - wow it has been too long, almost a year :( ah I will make up for that soon, July no doubt about it <3

All my gorgeous friends from Leicester to, I will be down there next month and the following... is this a hint I need to get out more.. maybe but I just miss dancing with you all

so yea I used to go all over the country pretty much everyday during the weekend was a different place and night out as with various days in the week... I think I will do that again... see you on the dancefloor

Slimelight isn't included here as I still go alot haha :) but soon I shall be going to all of the above again and other besides

Aww I found some old photos odf myself and some friends at various WH nights as can be seen on the WH website, there is one below... wow it must be at least 3 years old... yea thats how long I have been going to Wendyhouse

The Violinist?

So I mentioned prior to now that I play the violin. This is true, my grandfather (Italian) love it, in fact that was his favourite instrument which is probably why I started playing it. I was in primary school when I started, which must be about... 9 years ago now.. at least almost 10. I haven't played much recently given.

I Have played in Orchestras and solo in various concerts, I just love the sound. My favourite track is Romace by Baklanova, its an easy piece to play but sounds so solemn when played well. My Grandfather liked it to, and I played it for him when he died for his funeral. And this photo is ooooollllddd... I was about 13 in this photo haha
But I have added the track Romance to it so feel free to have a listen oh and no thats not photoshop.. my violin is actually that colour

I will put up some more setlists soon

Tuesday 31 May 2011

Dystopia - October 2010

I have done maaaany sets before this one but this one went down really well and was the second set I did for dystopia... I was asked to do 'bouncy' music that would get people on the dancefloor... so I did and wow it really did pack out the floor. The majority of this set is EBM with some darkwave blended so it wasn't a jump from the batcave and trad goth set that had been played beforehand so thus most of the tunes are rather well known and mainstream ebm stuff.. Requests are marked with an asterix (*)

Abney Park - Building Steam *
Angels and agony - Forward
Down Below - Euphorie
Apothesis - O'Fortuna (Apoptygma Berzerk Remix)
Covenant - Deadstars *
And one - Military Fashion show
Gothika - God and Beyond
Angelspit - 100%
Soman - Noise Anthem
Modulate - Hard and Dirty (SAM Remix)
Aesthetic Perfection - Spit it out
[X]-RX - Stage 2 *
Grendel - Hate this
Headhunters - The Power of the Mind
Straftanz - Tanzt Kaputt Was Euch Kaputt Macht (Mesmer's Eyes Remix)
Faderhead - TZDV
Noisuf-X - Aggrophil
Eisenfunk - Pong
Modulate - Bass Alert
Suicide Commando - Bind, Torture and Kill *
VNV Nation - Electronaught
Hypertraxx - The Darkside
Wolfshiem - Once in a lifetime

None of these songs belong to me mind...I own none of them so if you want to get hold of them... please buy them from these amazing artists

Presenting the Absinthe

I love the green wine don't you? Haha nah thats not what this blogs for though I could write one about the history and brewing of absinthe (yes I do that... I love it.. I'm sad) but no... this one is for my DJing experiances and love of music.

I'm a violinist didn't you know... yet been playing it for 9 years and my violin is guess what colour? green? how'd you guess... no seriously it is. but yes.. DJing... generally I'm a gothic/darkwave/ebm/noise/industrial and electro DJ depending on the night but I can get hold of other things very easily.. none of them illegal downloads either.. I can't stand people who do that, a lot of my friends are musicians and they are struggling to get by professionally as it is.. show you care and buy the bloody cd, ep or track ><

OKay first off I am going to talk about twisted as thats where I am a resident DJ... its a fun fetish night, very friendly with a wonderful dungeon games and acts I will of course post when the next one is on. Last time everyone was so busy playing and having fun I could play anything and they would still dance to it... Rock Lobster always goes down well haha

Dystopia although I do not DJ there all the time is a good goth/cyber night with a mix of trad goth/batcave and ebm depending on who is DJing, very friendly crowd.. if you are looking for a night in Birmingham I suggest checking it out, its worth it.

Set lists for past gigs coming soon!
